About Us
Our organization has implemented innovative ideas to meet the diverse needs of our community. Since 1990, our approach to residents and tenants has been people-centred, relying on connections, trust in their resources and abilities, and their active participation in decisions that affect them.
Our Living Environments
We offer four distinct living environments: transitional housing, permanent rooms for the elderly, shared housing for people facing various challenges, as well as our social housing program. At Maison d’Hérelle, each individual is valued, and we consistently strive to create a true home, based on inclusion, respect, dignity, and autonomy.
Our Expertise
Our team works to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of the people we support. Together, we are building a promising, inclusive, and fulfilling environment for all. Over the years, we have developed extensive knowledge of complementary health approaches that are used alongside conventional medical treatments. We also acquired broad capabilities in addressing homelessness issues as well as proficiency in tackling HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND). Moreover, we have a widespread experience in palliative care.
Our Projects
Our projects are carried out by a dedicated team that guides residents and tenants toward a new beginning full of opportunity. From our Rooftop Garden Project to our Peer Support Program, we offer programs that meet the diverse needs of our community. We are currently engaged in a community research project on charting new directions for our organization. This initiative reflects our commitment to continually improve our services and remain at the forefront of innovative practices.
