Reclaiming Life: Alain’s Inspiring Story of Living with HIV
Alain, 61, shares a remarkable story of transformation at Maison d’Hérelle. Alain moved to Maison d’Hérelle last February after a 20-year battle with HIV and weakened by a cardiovascular accident that had left him with no memory and a loss of mobility. When he arrived, Alain was distraught, stressed, and impatient, faced with the loss of autonomy imposed by his illness. But thanks to the care and adapted meals at Maison d’Hérelle, he regained his health, put on weight, and reconnected with his family. Alain’s story is an ode to resilience and the rediscovery of life’s simple joys.
